    Company Profile

Badlands Energy, Inc. is an E&P company that has been involved in the Uinta Basin for over a decade. The Company also operates in California and has been involved in exploration projects in Wyoming and Nevada.

The Utah operations comprise the largest and most active acreage position in the Company with over 90,000 acres under lease. In addition to managing the leasehold, Badlands also operates some 140 oil and gas wells in the Riverbend, Wilkin Ridge and Gate Canyon areas. Currently the Company is engaged in a nine well pad drilling program in the Riverbend area that could expand into a much larger program in the future. Recently the Company entered into a joint venture with MC Oil and Wyatt Energy to exploit a 5,000+ leasehold (South Altamont) within the giant Altamont/Bluebell Field. The Company has completed its first oil well the South Altamont program that has resulted in a 30 day average of + 400 BOPD. Permitting for additional locations is underway. In California the Company is active in the San Joaquin Basin with over 34,000 acres under lease. In April we will be the operator drilling a wildcat well northwest of Bakersfield.

Initially operating as a public company known as Gasco Energy, Inc., we underwent a restructuring that was completed in October of 2013. This resulted in a recapitalization followed by taking the company private. The final step in this was a name change to Badlands Energy, Inc. The Company is now sufficiently funded to aggressively pursue additional opportunities in addition to growing its current operating base.

Badlands is staffed by a seasoned group of geoscientist, engineers and field operations people who have many years of experience not only in the Uinta Basin but also in North America and internationally and have expertise in seismic acquisition, drilling operations and all facets of the petroleum industry. The team has a long history of working together as partners or as part of the Gasco team. Much of that experience has been in the Altamont-Bluebell field complex with significant expertise in the drilling a completion of Green River and Wasatch wells. In addition, the team has been active in the development of Wasatch/Mesa Verde, Spring Canyon and Mancos gas wells.

In summary, Badlands has been an active and successful player in the Uinta Basin area for a significant amount of time and has acquired the expertise necessary to prosecute a comprehensive and profitable program in not only the Uinta Basin, but in most hydrocarbon provinces. The office team in Denver in conjunction with a very competent and experienced field group headquartered in Myton, Utah gives Badlands the ability to operate successfully in the Uinta.

Crescent Point Energy is one of Canada's largest light and medium oil producers, based in Calgary, Alberta. We are focused on growing our significant resource base in the Williston Basin, Southwest Saskatchewan and the Uinta Basin in Utah. Crescent Point strives to maximize shareholder returns through its total return strategy of long-term growth plus dividend income.

    Uinta Basin

    • Size: 287,000 net acres
    • Production: Approximately 10% of Company total
In late 2012, we established a significant position in the Uinta Basin, a stacked multi-zone, light oil resource play. This basin is one of the largest oil-in-place resource pools in North America and provides significant opportunities for significant future growth. Subsequent to our initial entry, we increased our geological knowledge of the basin and developed detailed petro-physical models based on proprietary core data and 3-D seismic. This knowledge has allowed us to evolve our drilling program from vertical to horizontal wells, including longer laterals up to two-miles in length.

EOG Resources, Inc. is one of the largest independent (non-integrated) crude oil and natural gas companies in the United States with proved reserves in the United States, Trinidad, the United Kingdom and China. EOG Resources is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and trades under the ticker symbol "EOG."

EOG's strategy is to generate the best rates of return by controlling operating and capital costs while maximizing oil and natural gas reserve recoveries. EOG strives to maintain the lowest possible operating cost structure that is consistent with prudent and safe operations.
The company focuses on integrating technology such as 3D seismic, core analysis, and microseismic to develop proprietary petro-physicalmodels. These models inform the company's execution of precision horizontal targeting and customized advanced completions.

In order to find and develop low-cost reserves, EOG prioritizes exploration and drilling of internally generated prospects. This strategy is intended to consistently deliver cost-effective oil and natural gas production that maximizes cash flow and earnings, allowing the company to deliver long-term shareholder value while maintaining a strong balance sheet.

As of December 31, 2016, EOG's total estimated net proved reserves were 2,147 million barrels of oil equivalent comprised of 55 percent crude oil and condensate, 19 percent natural gas liquids and 26 percent natural gas. Approximately 97 percent of these reserves were located in the United States.

EOG's total worldwide production in 2016 was 205 MMBoe and at year-end 2016, EOG had approximately 2,650 employees.

EP Energy has a diverse asset base with significant reserves and large positions in our core development programs (Eagle Ford, Altamont, and Wolfcamp).

    • Our Eagle Ford division focuses on our oil and liquids rich assets in the Eagle Ford Shale of Texas.
    • Our Central division includes our Altamont program, comprised of multipay oil assets located in the Uintah Basin in Utah.
    • Our Southern division includes our Wolfcamp Shale oil program.
    ALTAMONT
The Uinta Basin, located in northeastern Utah is made up of naturally fractured, tight oil sands with multiple zones. Our operations in the Basin are focused on developing the Altamont Field (including the Altamont, Bluebell, and Cedar Rim fields), which is the largest field in the basin. We own 173,110 net acres in Duchesne and Uinta Counties.

Our current activity is mainly focused on the development of our vertical inventory on 160-acre spacing. We have identified an inventory of 1,126 drilling locations, including 776 vertical locations and 350 horizontal locations. The industry is currently piloting 80-acre vertical downspacing programs in the Wasatch and Green River formations and horizontal development programs in the multiple shale and tight sand intervals. Because our acreage in the area is largely held-by-production, if these programs are successful, it will result in additional vertical and horizontal drilling opportunities that could be added to our inventory of drilling locations.

Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 84,000 miles of pipelines and 155 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2) and more. Our terminals store and handle petroleum products, chemicals and other products.

We are a market leader in each of our businesses - Natural Gas Pipelines, Products Pipelines, CO2, Terminals and Kinder Morgan Canada. We have an unparalleled, large footprint of diversified and strategically located assets that are core to North American energy infrastructure and help deliver needed energy products to high-demand markets. For example, Kinder Morgan is the:

    • Largest natural gas network with approximately 70,000 miles of natural gas pipelines. We are connected to every important U.S. natural gas resource play, including the Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Utica, Uinta, Haynesville, Fayetteville and Barnett. We move about 40 percent of the natural gas consumed in America.
    • Largest independent transporter of petroleum products, transporting about 2.1 million barrels of product per day. We move gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, crude, natural gas liquids and more.
    • Largest transporter of carbon dioxide (CO2), transporting about 1.3 billion cubic feet per day. Most of the CO2 is used in enhanced oil recovery projects in the Permian Basin of West Texas.
    • Largest independent terminal operator. Our liquids terminals store refined petroleum products, chemicals, ethanol and more, and have a capacity of 152 million barrels. Our dry bulk terminals store and handle such materials as coal, petroleum coke and steel, and we handle over 53 million tons per year. We also have a strong Jones Act shipping position with twelve vessels in service and four more to be delivered in 2017.
    • Only oilsands pipeline serving the West Coast. We currently transport 300,000 barrels per day to Vancouver/Washington State and our proposed expansion will increase that capacity to 890,000 barrels per day.
Our customers include major oil companies, energy producers and shippers, local distribution companies and businesses across many industries. In most of our businesses, we operate like a giant toll road and receive a fee for our services, generally avoiding commodity price risk. In our CO2 business, where exposure to commodity prices does exist, we employ a hedging strategy to partially mitigate that risk. For 2017, approximately 91 percent of our cash flows are fee-based and 97 percent of our cash flows are fee-based or hedged.

The revolutionary shale plays across the United States are creating a tremendous need for more energy infrastructure, which bodes well for us. We invest billions of dollars each year to grow the company by building new and expanding existing assets to help ensure that a variety of energy products get delivered into the marketplace.

Kinder Morgan strives for financial and operational excellence, and we are committed to being a good corporate citizen and conducting ourselves in an ethical and responsible manner. In addition to delivering value to our shareholders and meeting our customers' needs, we spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year on integrity management and maintenance programs to operate our assets safely and to protect the public, our employees, contractors and the environment.

We pride ourselves on being a different kind of energy company. What makes us different? It starts at the top with Executive Chairman Rich Kinder, who earns a salary of $1 per year and does not receive a bonus, stock options or restricted stock grants. President and CEO Steve Kean also receives an annual salary of $1. We work hard to align managements' and shareholders' incentives by eliminating unnecessary expenses such as corporate aircraft, sports tickets and executive perks. In addition, we tie financial incentives for our employees directly to the performance of the company and their own personal performances.

Kinder Morgan has been conducting its business transparently long before it became a corporate buzz word. We are one of the only S&P 500 companies that publishes its annual budget on its web site, which enables investors and others to follow our progress throughout the year. We also post our operational performance on our website and continue to perform better than our industry peers relative to environmental, health and safety measures.

We do not have a Political Action Committee. Any political contributions made by executives or employees are made individually as private citizens with their own personal money.
Kinder Morgan has approximately 11,000 employees and is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America.

    Company Profile

Parsons Behle & Latimer was founded by prominent mining lawyer William Howard Dickson in Carson City, Nevada. In the spring of 1882, William Dickson, along with law partner Charles Stetson Varian, moved their law practice to Salt Lake City. At that time Utah was involved in a flurry of mining activity. In its early days, under the name of Dickson & Varian, the firm assisted in the organization of more than 100 mining companies, including Utah Copper Company, now known as Kennecott Utah Copper; Hercules Powder Company; and Columbia Geneva Iron Mining Company.

In addition to founding the firm, William Dickson, affectionately known as Judge Dickson, was appointed by the United States President to serve as U.S. Attorney for Utah, a position he held from 1884-1887. When Judge Dickson moved to Utah, he brought his office furniture, including a roll top desk, book cases and chairs. Over time, these items have been passed down through the members of the firm and currently occupy a space in the firm's main office in downtown Salt Lake City.

Over the course of the next 130 years and under various name changes, including the Parsons Behle & Latimer name, adopted in the late 1960s, the firm sustained success in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This success is firmly rooted in our fundamental core values that have guided the firm since its inception: client service; professional integrity; ethics and professionalism; collegiality; and community service. Today, under the leadership of Chairman of the Board Raymond J. Etcheverry, President Hal J. Pos and its board of directors, Parsons Behle & Latimer is one of the largest Utah-based law firms and has grown to more than 130 attorneys with offices in Boise, Idaho Falls, Las Vegas, Reno, Salt Lake City and Washington, D.C.

In addition to the firm's unique expertise in providing services to the natural resources industry, it has forged relationships with multi-billion dollar companies, start-ups and individuals. Parsons Behle & Latimer attorneys offer depth and a range of experience in the areas of: Antitrust & Competition; Banking & Finance; Corporate, Securities & Tax; Employment & Labor; Environmental, Energy & Natural Resources; Government Relations & Lobbying; Health Care; Intellectual Property; Litigation; and Real Estate.

    Company Profile

Ultra Petroleum is a natural gas focused company with primary operations in southwest Wyoming.

Ultra Petroleum is an independent exploration and production company focused primarily on developing its long-life natural gas reserves in the Pinedale and Jonah Fields of Wyoming's Green River Basin. In addition, Ultra has an oil development project underway in the Three Rivers Field of Utah's Uinta Basin, and a second natural gas position in the Marcellus Shale Play of Pennsylvania's Appalachian Basin.

In Wyoming, Ultra controls more than 104,000 gross (68,000 net) acres in and around the prolific Pinedale and Jonah Fields. The two field complexes produce from the Upper Cretaceous aged Lance and Mesaverde Formations, and together cover an area 30 miles long by 6 miles wide. In 2015 they combined to produce an average of 725 million cubic feet equivalent of natural gas per day. Ultra is the top natural gas producer in the State of Wyoming.

In Utah, Ultra controls approximately 9,000 gross (8,600 net) acres in the Eocene-aged Lower Green River Formation oil play. Ultra is the sole operator in the field with 100% working interest. The property is well delineated with a waterflood pilot project currently underway to assess secondary recovery potential.

In Pennsylvania, Ultra controls over 149,000 gross (74,000 net) acres in the Devonian-aged Marcellus Shale gas play. This asset provides long term gas optionality with additional proven gas potential in the shallower Geneseo Formation and significant exploration potential in the rapidly expanding Utica Formation play.

The company's head office is in Houston, Texas, with an operations office in Denver, Colorado and field offices in Pinedale, Wyoming and Vernal, Utah. Ultra Petroleum stock trades over-the-counter under the symbol "UPLMQ".

    Uinta Basin
Ultra Petroleum's Uinta Basin asset consists of 8,000 acres over the Three Rivers Field in northeast Utah's Uintah County. Ultra is the sole operator of the properties with 100% working interest. Wells drilled to date have assessed the entire leasehold position and broadly de-risked the acreage. Still in the early phase of unlocking the resource, the company is evaluating geologic and engineering data and conducting a waterflood project. The company has identified over 100 MMBOE of total net resource.

Ultra Petroleum's high quality acreage is in the expansive Lower Green River oil play in northeast Utah.

Ultra's high quality leasehold in Three Rivers Field is located in northeast Utah near the town of Vernal in Uintah County. It lies in the middle of the Lower Green River oil play in the eastern part of the Uinta Basin, bounded by the Uinta Mountains to the north, the Wasatch mountains to the west, and the West Tavaputs Cliffs to the south.

Oil production in Three Rivers Field comes from a stacked series of sandstones and limestones in the Eocene-aged Lower Green River formation. Lower Green River Formation sediments were deposited around 50 million years ago in ancient Lake Uinta, a large, shallow, land-locked lake. The productive interval in Three Rivers Field is over 1,800 feet thick, containing oil generated from interbedded organic-rich carbonates, as well as from deeper source beds located north and west of the field.

Structurally, the field is very simple with reservoir beds dipping gently to the north at 2 to 3 degrees. There are no major faults in the field, but borehole image logs indicate a natural fracture network that likely contributes to enhanced production performance. Thicker and better developed sands occur in the northwest part of the field and generate higher production rates and volumes in that area.

Ultra is utilizing surface pad technology to develop the field, drilling multiple vertical wells from individual pad sites strategically located on the leases. Drilling to date has assessed the majority of the leasehold position, with well depths ranging from 6,500 feet in the southern part of the field to approximately 7,500 feet in the northern part. Numerous stacked reservoirs in the pay interval make vertical wells the most efficient method of development coupled with multi-stage fracture stimulation completions and artificial lift technologies. The company continues to evaluate geological and well performance data to better understand the resource, and currently has a waterflood pilot underway to assess the viability of secondary recovery in the field.

Ultra entered the Uinta Basin through its acquisition of Three Rivers Field in late 2013. At the time of acquisition, the field had 37 wells producing 3,900 barrels of oil per day from the Lower Green River Formation. Ultra ramped up development during 2014 and early 2015, bringing the well count up to 122 producing wells. The company grew production to 11,000 equivalent barrels of oil per day before slowing its activity due to falling oil prices in early 2015.

Similar to our Bakken and Three Forks acreage position, we are rapidly growing our Niobrara A, B, C and Codell interval production and have over 5,400 potential gross drilling locations in these zones.

    Company Profile

Wolverine is a privately owned, independent oil and gas exploration and production company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since 1948 and over three generations, the Jansma family has been successfully and responsibly developing oil and gas reserves to meet our nation's energy needs.

In 2000, Wolverine went into an area all but abandoned by the major oil companies: south-central Utah. Wolverine's exploration team studied this complex region for several years before drilling its first prospect. The result? Covenant Field, the largest onshore conventional discovery in North America in the previous 30 years.
