The Utah Petroleum Association (UPA) has represented Utah's petroleum
industry for nearly half a century. Founded in 1958, UPA is a
voluntary, non-profit petroleum trade association.
UPA represents all segments of Utah's oil and natural gas industries.
UPA members include both integrated major companies as well as independent oil
and natural gas producers and refiners. UPA members are investing
significantly in Utah's economy and communities. Utah's energy industries
are major contributors to Utah's economy providing critical energy resources,
jobs, tax revenues and royalties to state and local governments as well as
Utah's Permanent School Fund.
UPA is a state-based trade association with headquarters in Salt Lake City,
Utah. It serves as an informed voice for the exploration and production
and refining segments of the industry, and advocates its members' views before
the Utah Legislature, Utah and Federal regulatory agencies and local county and
municipal governments. UPA also provides economic and statistical
information about the petroleum industry in Utah.
